201 stainless steel coil is a steel coil made of 201 stainless steel material, which is austenitic stainless steel. This stainless steel has become an economical alternative to 304 stainless steel due to its low nickel and high manganese characteristics.It offers a balance between cost-effectiveness and some useful corrosion resistance properties, although it is generally less resistant to corrosion compared to higher-grade stainless steels.
This austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese stainless steel variant operates effectively at temperatures as high as 1300°F (700°C). Provided there is sufficient oxygen, it remains stable and does not develop hardening or cracking when heated beyond this point.
